This is just lazy so my description will be equally as lazy. Pass.

This was the runner up of our Twitter poll from a while back. The one that The Obsolete Man rightfully won. Anyway, we don’t have any obligation to do this one but the bingo hopper chose a redux episode so we figured why not? This episode…. we don’t get the popularity.

This episode’s opening really only works if you’re racist at heart. Otherwise you’re just watching a dude take a jog. This episode is also very predictable because we saw it in the first Tales From The Hood movie. Only much better.

In the very first episode of the UPN revamp of The Twilight Zone from 2002, we are treated with an episode that is predictable within 2 minutes. Yay? At least it wasn’t as bad as the 80’s ones we’ve watched so far.

What was this? Inception Of The Obsolete Marathon Man? Haha. No really. Haha. I joke but haha. Wait I lost my mind. Help me because the 80’s won’t. Haha? No? Help!?

It’s just over 5 minutes and written by George R.R. Martin. It’s awful and even thought just 5 minutes it’s still a waste of time. Don’t waste your time. “Hello. You’re important. Bye.”

Our first outing with the 2002 version went fairly well. Hard to go wrong with Jeremy Sisto and Alicia Witt. Anyway, we talk about the nonsense that is this set-up. Is that all we talked about? Hard to remember now because I’m drunk and we just did 4 episodes in a row.

Phoenix and family recently went to Las Vegas and of course had to visit The Twilight Zone mini golf by Monster Mini Golf. It’s inside the Bally’s hotel. If you’re just listening to the podcast then definitely check out the video on Loitering In Wonderland’s YouTube page for pictures of the event and to the swag he got there.

This is a classic movie. For some reason. We really don't know why. Because it's weird? So? It's not bad...just.... stupid.

Today we are gathered together at the Chuch Of Frankenheimer to discuss the 1964 drama, Seven Days In May. Oh, Rod Serling wrote the script. You’ll know that immediately.

Who can’t relate to an over-the-hill boxer that can’t fight any more because he might go blind? You can really see where the inspiration for Rocky Balboa came from here. We also briefly touch on the Playhouse 90 version of this story based on Rod Serling. #thetwilightzone Oh, I left in the long talk about MST3K because I love it and it’s my podcast.

Who can’t relate to a story about a New York City executive trying to fight the corporate ladder while maintaining his morality? Despite this hurdle, it’s a solid movie with solid performances. We also touch on the Kraft Theatre version of this story written by Rod Serling #thetwilightzone

Gary Cole stars as a doctor clown with an annoying girlfriend with an addiction to His Girl Friday. Her addiction leads her to overdosing via bus on a wet curb. Stay off drugs, people. Stay away from clowns too. This episode feels more like an episode of Tales From The Crypt than The Twilight Zone.

We all know the movie right? I mean… it is what it is. We personally like it but some people hate it for some reason. Other than Kick The Can it’s pretty solid. 4 legendary directors that are all somehow still alive give their take on Twilight Zone stories. Plus it has all the racism you want in a PG movie.

Today we cover an episode of Westinghouse Desilu Playhouse written by Rod Serling. It’s the script that got him the pilot for The Twilight Zone. It involves time travel and annoying characters. Enjoy!

Welcome to part 2 of our goodbye to the original show proper. Of course we will be back to do redux episodes and random shit but here is our goodbye. Until the next two episodes where Phoenix will discuss the original show writers and directors. See you in the 80’s 2000’s and 70’s for Night Gallery. Boo.
