8 - TZ1959 - 108 - Time Enough At Last PHXSOLO.jpg

8: Time Enough At Last (108)

October 13, 2015

Phoenix watched Time Enough At Last and had a lot to say about the surrounding characters that back up Burgess Meredith's character Henry Bemis (who may or may not have Aspergers).  Phoenix also relates his reading obsession with being a word junkie. Why is everyone around him a horrible piece of shit? Seriously? They're downright 'doggerel". Phoenix explains it all in this episode.

7: The Lonely (107)

June 28, 2015

In this episode, Phoenix talks about the importance of having a sex-bot to treat like shit. Also, he explains why having a system where prisoners are all sent to live on separate asteroids 9 million miles from home would be insanely expensive compared to the current system. In fact, it would be bankrupting the world expensive.

6: Escape Clause (106)

June 28, 2015

In this episode a white man demands immortality from the devil played by a hispanic actor. Real sensitive, 1959. Phoenix runs down a list of 60's television shows that he grew up watching. He then explains the TZ episode in a way that only he can; with lots of swearing, drinking and calling every woman "bitch" or "broad" for no reason. Only because of the era that the episodes come from. Have a problem with that? Don't be a bitch, you broad.

5: Walking Distance (105)

June 24, 2015

In this episode, Phoenix talks about living via nostalgia and how his generation all does it. This episode should have been called Mid Life Crisis Theater. He also talks about how the main character was almost the first person in history to almost be arrested for being a pedophile against himself. It gets weird a lot in this episode...

4: The Sixteen-Millimeter Shrine (104)

June 23, 2015

The Sixteen-Millimeter Shrine is what Phoenix calls a vagina.

In this episode, Phoenix discusses how he wants a masturbation station like the one the main character in this episode of TZ had. At least it looked like she had one. Either way it looked sweet. This was a sober episode for Phoenix but he can't remember words to save his life. Perhaps he should become a recluse and dream of a better life in the past. It seemed to work for the main character in this episode of The Twilight Zone.

Go to www.loiteringinwonderland.com to buy $5 digital copies of Phoenix's books. Or go to Amazon and search for Phoenix West in the Kindle section. They are cheap and awesome. Just like Phoenix.

3: Mr. Denton On Doomsday (103)

June 23, 2015

No idea why the 'day' in this episode is considered 'doomsday'. No idea why Mr. Denton just decided to stop being an alcoholic and it worked. No idea about a lot of things but I try my hardest to explain the shit. This episode inspired the Denton name in my book I, Of The Storm which is available to digital purchase on Amazon and www.loiteringinwonderland.com so go get it for only $5. Or else I'll shoot a gun out of your hand signifying my victory over you in armed combat. Or so this episode will have you believe. Nobody ever died in the old west. Ever.

2: One For The Angels (102)

June 15, 2015

In this episode, Phoenix talks about the 2nd episode of TZ, One For The Angels. Phoenix rambles on about how people back in the 50's could just be friend with kids and nobody assumed rape and murder was the logical conclusion of the friendship. He then explains the episode in only a way that he can: with plenty of swearing and drinking. Get ready for a sweet tender episode about an old man and his 8 year old friends having to battle Death. Ironically, that's what today's episode was about also.

1: Where Is Everybody? (101)

June 14, 2015

Welcome to the first episode of both The Twilight Zone AND The Twilight Zone Episode Review show hosted by Phoenix West. This episode is a bit longer than most will be because Phoenix had to set up his love for 1960's television and The Twilight Zone. He also quickly turns racist and feeds into McCarthyism because it's an episode from 1959! Even if you're not into The Twilight Zone, this show is funny. Plus TZ is free on Netflix.* So watch the episodes on Netflix and then listen to this FREE show! It's THE BEST summarization of TZ that you will find online!**

*Netflix itself is not free. But once you pay for Netflix, TZ is kinda free, right?

**Phoenix said to say this. The opinion is only his.
